Facility and infrastructure life cycle management
"Sustainable Design & Energy Reduction in Federal Projects"
Synopsis: The Federal Government now requires all projects to be designed to comply with LEED and EPAct 2005 requirements. The speakers will present a number of case studies showcasing successful strategies to meet both requirements using innovative technologies and a common sense approach to integrated design. Projects featured will include the 2.4 million SF National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, New Campus East (the largest BRAC project) and The Food and Drug Administration Headquarters Campus.

There will be a presentation on the Management of Large Scale Natural Disasters by Eric Odderstol (USN CAPT, Retired) who directed more than 3,000 military personnel, in the planning and execution of public infrastructure repairs throughout the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. 11:30 a.m. at the Highland Park Country Club.
